Its central base is made of three stacked elements carved from the same mass of dark mango wood: an outward-flared base that anchors the table to the floor, a perfect sphere in the middle, an inverted cup under the tabletop. On the base and the cup, concentric circles are engraved into the mass — precise hand-made grooves that create a play of relief changing with light and viewing angle. Viewed from the front, the Cup is understated and strong. Viewed from the side, its base reveals a sculptor's work that very few dining tables on the market can claim.

The dark mango wood here is pushed to its deepest tones — between warm brown and almost black brown depending on the light. The round tabletop is polished, smooth, ready for daily meals. The carved, textured base, worked from the mass of the same wood, creates a contrast of finishes that visually structures the furniture without material discontinuity.
