Its 153 cm diameter top is the first argument — a surface of woven natural rattan that generously occupies the center of a large living room, without ever visually weighing down the space. The concentric spiral weaving is the visual signature that makes the Obane unforgettable. From the center of the top, the natural rattan strands coil into progressively wider concentric circles, creating a hypnotic repetitive pattern reminiscent of large artisanal wicker pieces from Africa or Southeast Asia. Up close, the density and precision of the weaving reveal meticulous craftsmanship — hours of manufacturing for each top.

Its three slender black iron hairpin legs are the perfect counterpoint to the generosity of the top. Fine and elongated, they lift the rattan with an almost airy lightness — the table seems to float 32 cm above the ground rather than resting on it.
