Long description
What strikes you first about the Argana console is the wood. The solid dark mango wood displays broad, deep, almost dramatic veins — variations of warm brown and deep brown that make each top a unique surface. No two Arganas are truly alike. Nature decides the composition, and here it has done things well.
But the real masterstroke is the edging. All along the edges — side uprights, border of the two shelves, corners — small squares of natural ivory horn are inlaid with millimeter-precise craftsmanship. Horn is a rare organic material in furniture, whose pearlescent reflections and slight variations in shade from one square to another create an almost hypnotic textile effect. It is not a simple decoration — it is a signature.
The console rests on two generous shelves separated by a solid mango wood back panel. The upper shelf accommodates mirrors, lamps, or decorative objects. The lower shelf stores books, baskets, or accessories. A functional piece of furniture that never looks it because it is so beautiful.
Its rounded corners bring a welcome softness that balances the visual richness of the dark wood and inlays. In an entryway, it creates a memorable welcome. In a living room, it stands out as a character piece. In a hallway, even a narrow one, its 25 cm depth allows it to integrate without encroaching.
