Long Description

The Chandra Coffee Table is unlike any other coffee table. Not because it tries to surprise — but because the combination of its two materials and the way they interact exists nowhere else.

Its top is covered with pink-terracotta ceramic tiles arranged in a checkerboard pattern. Two similar but distinct shades — a lighter pink, a deeper terracotta — alternate precisely across the entire round surface. Each tile is slightly different from the others, with the surface irregularity characteristic of handmade ceramics. Under direct light, the joints between the tiles create a precise graphic pattern that blends into the whole. Under grazing light, each tile reveals its own texture.

The base is Chandra's true signature. Medium brown natural rattan rods all start from the center and fan out outwards — like the spokes of a wheel, like the ridges of a shell, like a repeated pattern that creates both visual lightness and surprising structural solidity. This openwork base allows the eye to pass through the table rather than blocking it — the piece visually floats above the floor.

The Chandra works in a living room with natural and neutral tones, where the ceramic pink adds a warm touch of color without overwhelming. Faced with a white linen or ecru fabric sofa, it creates that colorful focal point that gives soul to an overly subdued interior.
